Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a professional and seasoned Project Manager to complete Capital Improvement projects for our clients by evaluating project plans and implementing them in accordance with the contract documents. The territory will be the United States with an emphasis on Colorado and surrounding states. Primarily, the person will manage the day to day onsite project activities as well as keeping track of project budgets and overall scheduling of subcontractors and jobs to insure that each project is completed on time and on budget. The Project Manager will handle high profile projects subcontracted to other organizations, while providing top level customer service as a liaison to the end user. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations - Denver. This position will office out of our Denver location.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in establishing project objectives by analyzing project proposal
- Assists in establishing project plan by determining time frame, funding, creating project schedule.
- Organizes projects by working with a subcontractor.
- Establishes and achieves financial objectives by preparing a project budget; schedules and reviews expenditures analyzes variances; initiates corrective actions.
- Reviews project specifications by analyzing project design, customer requirements and performance standards (traffic flow, staying on schedule, etc).
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends and reporting items to the team.
- Tracks client and subcontractor interactions with customized CRM program.
- Work hand in hand with customers to maintain partnership though scheduling and project completion. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by establishing and enforcing procedures, rules and regulations.
- Maintains project database by documenting information requirements.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations; coordinates with government regulatory agencies.
- Other duties may be assigned on an as-needed basis.
Requirements:
- Ability to travel out of state up to 50% of the time required
- Strong understanding of math.
- Strong problem solving skills
- Experience in construction trades is preferred, not necessary.
- Project Management experience highly preferred.
- Timberline experience helpful, but not required
- C.M. degree preferred.
- Must have excellent leadership experience, sense of urgency and a natural ability to work in a fast paced and growing environment.
- Must have ability to interact effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Internet
- Must be comfortable with hands-on environment of high communication.
