The Accounting Manager will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, preparation and analysis of financial statements, ad hoc reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities with a solid technical and operational accounting background with excellent analytical skills, and the ability to meet month-end deadlines.
Salary Range $115,000 to $125,000 Based on experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Manage the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of closing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Oversee and review day-to-day financial transactions, including but not limited to; verifying, classifying, computing, and posting general ledger transactions related to revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued expenses, and payroll expenses in accordance with US GAAP.
- Prepares, reviews, and analyzes month-end financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliation, income statement and cash flow statements.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and collections process
- Assist and contribute to the development and review of annual forecasting and budgeting.
- Provide financial support to business managers in annual forecasting and budget planning.
- Develop monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for significant deviations.
- Work cross-functionally with various departments to provide financial analysis and relevant reporting.
- Support internal auditing and annual external audits and through organization, preparation, and submission of financial records.
- Maintain organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.

Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience performing monthly close duties and financial statement reporting
- 2+ years of accounting management experience required
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting matters, including experience with accounting for multiple entities and intercompany transactions
- Experience and understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate financial records and preparing clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing, and operational use.
- Intermediate to Advanced excel skills.
- Great Plains ERP experience a plus
- Payroll experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):
- Ability to understand, analyze and present financial statements to senior management.
- Strong understanding of all facets of accounting (A/R, A/P, reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and payroll expenses).
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, teamwork, collaboration, flexibility and proactiveness.
- Strong knowledge, understanding and experience of US GAAP and financial close processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software programs and MS Office applications.
