Creighton University's Facility Management team is looking for a Facilities Operations Process, Data, and Technology Manager. This position will be responsible for the operation and improvement of key business processes, data, technology solutions, and analytics/reporting in support of operations in Facilities Management and/or other areas as assigned.
- Facilitate operating processes within Facilities Management and how they will be implemented and executed using the AIM database, workflow, and reporting tool. This role will support managers in facilities operations by providing reports, monitoring data quality, documenting operating processes, initiating and managing system upgrades, determining guidelines for usage and directing training for use of the technology tools used in the business of Facilities Management. Review utility billing against contracts, track trends and forecast usage. Verify current rate structure for possible cost savings. Track Facilities Management's contracted services to help identify cost saving measures through trend analysis. Balance and close capital projects. Support campus service transparency by developing communication methodologies and reports for status of ticket and project requests and other metrics as appropriate. Assist operational managers by providing reporting on service trends.
- Participates in all Data Governance activities for Facilities Management, serving in the role of Data Steward. Serve as the functional subject matter for the Facilities Management data domain. Responsible for defining data definitions, managing data security, quality, and accessibility. Represent Facilities Management on campus-wide Data Governance committees and participate in University Data Governance activities, as requested.
- Works in partnership with other departments to ensure that Facilities Management's data and reporting are integrated as appropriate with the rest of the University. Partner with continuous improvement leaders to document processes impacting data quality and to develop process improvements that will result in improved data accuracy and/or reporting.
- Creates standard and ad hoc queries and reports.
- Design and manage data sets in Tableau (calculated fields, hierarchies, groupings).
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, with an emphasis in Computer Science, MIS, Business Analysis or Project Management.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel. (Example task: creating complex formulas / text to columns / using an index matches / combining multiple data sets / condition formatting / nested sum it functions / data validation).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with using technology and databases to support operational processes. Prior experience with Asset Works AIM system a plus.
- Previous experience and understanding of Data projects, data design and mapping, translating business requirements
- Data-driven and analytical in approach to solving problems while exhibiting effective decision-making and excellent time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communicator; good listening skills with aptitude for tactfully challenging the norm.
- Ability to synthesize data and pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
- Advanced skill in use and programming of the following software applications:
- Excel (VBA, macros, advanced calculations)
- Power Query (advanced calculations)
- Access (build and maintain databases, calculations)
- Tableau (build dashboards and reports, data extraction)
- Previous Facilities Management Operations Support experience desired.
