Job Summary
- Operate specialized equipment to produce quality images for diagnostic interpretation.
- Must be familiar with radiation safety procedures relating to patient and self.
- Practices radiation safety and consistently follows all established procedures to assure safety and accuracy.
- Identify each patient using dual identification and review each patient’s chart/requisition prior to performing the procedure.
- Responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance of routine or special procedures.
Education and/or Experience
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA-approved school and meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT.
Required License/Certification/Registration
- Must be certified by and maintain current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Must have and maintain 1 or more additional radiology certification beyond ARRT registration and certification.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday; 72 hours every 2 weeks
- Day, Evening, and Night shifts
- Occasional weekend
- Occasional holiday
- Occasional call time
