Caring. Connecting. Growing together. Primary Responsibilities: - Coordinates with appropriate parties including clinical and ancillary department representatives, leadership, payer point of contacts, consultants, and others as needed
- Focuses on special projects as assigned by department leadership, including account clean-up efforts, data collection and interpretation, or operational reporting
- Fulfills administrative tasks such as managing conference room calendars, scheduling meetings, department activities, answering calls or assisting guests upon arrival to the department location
- Identifies needs or trends and escalates to leadership
- Maintains monthly statistical information and provides to appropriate recipients
- Works closely with Coding, HEIS, PFS, and other hospital departments with potential registration issues, striving for resolution
- Strong understanding of the multiple applications used and the integration of systems in order to execute tasks and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Ability to analyze policies and procedures, and possesses a clear understanding of Patient Access functions including registration and insurance verification
- Meets/exceeds productivity and quality standards as outlined by the department
- May perform other duties upon request

Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of experience in a medical setting
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- 1+ years of experience in Patient Access or Patient Financial Services
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows PC Applications, etc.

Preferred Qualifications: - Associate's degree in healthcare administration, finance, business or related field
