Summary
The Driver Recruiter is responsible for recruitment of owner operators, experienced fleet owners, and lease purchase drivers and rehires.
Duties and Essential Job Functions
• Exploring creative methods of sourcing qualified contractors. Developing new sources of independent contractor candidates.
• Prospecting warm leads and cold calls to turn them into new contractors.
• Complete pre- hire files and paperwork on applications.
• Complete background checks including personal records, MVR, and DAC reports.
• Review and process applications of prospective contractors and determine if applicant is qualified.
• Assist with pre-contracting process for new contractors.
• Explain the company’s operating policy and safety standards.
• Set up and manage travel arrangements for new hires.
• Performs other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
• Four year college degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in a recruitment position
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong phone etiquette
• Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service and organizational skills,
• Strong negotiation, influencing and interviewing skills
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
