The Maintenance Engineering Equipment Technician will operate and maintain the tools to drive improvement. This position will be exposed to a significant learning experience, tool management, and career growth opportunities.
This position is part of the Maintenance Engineering Dept. and will be in Lodi, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity:
To work with a cross-functional team to support our rapidly expanding manufacturing facility's high-volume automated filling and packaging operations in Lodi, CA. As a member of our team, you'll get to make an immediate, measurable impact on a global scale in an environment that fosters career growth and development.
- Operate and maintain (PM) the Tools to achieve shifty production goals (Parts Per Day).
- Partner with Engineers and MFG Associates to reduce micro stops, machine faults, and unscheduled maintenance. Update LEDS system on shifty basis to ensure accurate downtime data collection.
- Support Engineers and Machine Operators to complete TPM activities (CIL, Centerlines, PMs, Changeovers) on the Tools and will also function as on-the-tool technical trainers for the Operators
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 4+ years of related work experience ORAA or Technical Trade Degree with 2+ years of related work experience.
- Possess basic mechanical, electrical and control training problem-solving skills and aptitude.
- Experience in completing assigned tasks for mechanical systems, Autonomous Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Condition-based Maintenance programs
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience:
- Working in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry.

The hourly range for this role is $30.73-39.32. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
