Summary and Purpose:
This Billing Coordinator position will be responsible for day to day billing and collection activities. Knowledge and implementation of accounts receivable including: Medicare, Managed Care, Medicaid and Private Pay. This includes understanding primary and secondary insurances, as well as the Medicaid application and approval process. Fairmount aims to expand the billing team in order to provide outsourced third-party billing services to other local facilities. This position should have a continuous improvement mindset, and recommend changes to current processes to reduce errors, increase reimbursements, or increase efficiency as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Point Click Care and Inovalon is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Billing Coordinator:
- Maintain the census in Point Click Care, and inform management of current levels each morning
- Setup and configure Point Click Care to ensure accurate invoicing and reporting
- Prepare, post, verify and record customer and insurance payments to resident accounts
- Prepare invoices, statements and collection letters for mailing and answer resident questions as required
- Import and enter all ancillary charges into Point Click Care
- Complete required monthly Medicaid reporting and monthly Long-term care insurance CMRs
- Update and Maintain Invoicing, Payment and Resident Logs used by the Billing Department
- Participate as an active member of the monthly Triple Check process
- Create and Upload monthly EFT batches for Resident Payment processing
- Completes monthly A/R closings including Balancing accounts, reviewing aging reports, and verifying balances
- Updates and configures annual pricing and rate increase for Private Pay, Managed Care and Medicaid across all Fairmount Facilities
- Assist with preparation of Audit Documentation
- Prepare Cash Deposits as requested by Billing Manager or CFO
- Serve as a backup for healthcare admissions as needed
- Fill in at the front desk for breaks as needed
