QualificationsCMA:
Education: High school diploma.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, that includes an externship in a medical office clinical setting, required. Curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. (Certificate must be obtained within six months of hire).
Certifications accepted:
- CMA - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- CCMA - National Health career Association (NHA)
- RMA - American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- RMA - American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
- RMA - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- RMA - National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
Experience: Previous work in a medical setting preferred.
- Licensure/certification/registration: CMA, CCMA, RMA. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096. Annual UAP agreement with provider required.
- Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
