We are seeking a highly motivated Water/Wastewater Program Coordinator to join our growing team in Richmond, VA. Candidates must have excellent project management, technical writing and verbal communication skills and must be comfortable managing projects, programs and working with WRA staff managing projects. Successful candidates will be independent and resourceful and enjoy working in a dynamic workplace environment.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include providing grant funding updates and project management associated with water/wastewater projects, providing technical guidance and support to clients regarding funding opportunities, developing grant applications for clients in areas such as water/wastewater infrastructure and treatment, and coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies.
The qualified candidate will be expected to immediately fill the following roles: manage lead service line replacement programs and engage with the client/public on lead service line replacement programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Environmental Science or similar field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5-15 years of experience in related field
- Experience obtaining funding for agencies
- Knowledge of the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions and associated regulations
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines under limited supervision
- Experience coordinating with federal and state resource agencies
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to collaborate and work alongside multidisciplinary teams of engineers and subject matter experts.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willingness to continue to learn and grow technically and professionally within the company
- Willingness to mentor and train junior staff
- Ability to interpret and stay abreast of state and federal regulations and funding sources related to water/wastewater treatment and infrastructure.
