Job Description:
LOCATION: Charleston, SC Office
DEPARTMENT: Import Logistics
TITLE: Import Logistics Specialist
REPORTS TO: Import Supervisor
Purpose of Job:
This position will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating Import Shipments to meet customer expectations while meeting all regulatory requirements and deadlines.

We are a fast growing company that handles a variety of customers and cargo types. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow with our company. Training will consist of one on one training as well as some online sessions.

About the position:
Customer service, troubleshooting and problem resolution
Support the development of existing and new customers by working closely with Sales Reps
Coordinate routing of bookings with agents and confirm bookings within same day
Track and Tracing customer reports
Compare cost and sell rates to ensure booked with best profit
Possess knowledge of logistical concepts and supply chain terminology
Manage truck cost, services, and designate truckers for door moves
Provide Sell Rates within 24 hours to OPS in order to create invoice for customer
Review and approve/dispute vendor invoices.
Send approved invoices to OPS for payment
Dispute/Resolve incorrect invoices with vendor to correct any errors
Check profit/loss for each file, ensure all costs entered into system. Provide reason for losses and suggestion on how to correct loss moving forward (if regular business)
May perform other duties as needed.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 08:30AM 5:00 PM

Competencies:
Knowledge of Import processes
Candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong organizational, scheduling, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Due to significant PC work, the candidate must have training/experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrate solid decision-making skills and ability to prioritize ever-changing daily tasks
Possess knowledge of logistical concepts and supply chain terminology
Ability to proactively make decisions/problem-solve as needed.
