Job Summary:
Raytheon Advanced Airborne RF (AARF) Systems Engineering department in Goleta, California and/or Lompoc, California, or Point Mugu, CA has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer supporting our Electronic Warfare Systems product line. This is an exciting new role that will interface with the Integrated Product Team Lead, Chief Engineer and other stakeholders to ensure program objectives are achieved. The selected candidate should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive.
This position is an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
You will determine what the requirements should be for a product or system based on information from the customer and providing traceability to these requirements.
You will decide how to capture those requirements in specific documents such as specifications and interface control documents.
You will ensure the requirements are clear, concise, understandable and verifiable.
You will trace the flow of requirements between different parts of the program to ensure that all areas have the complete information appropriate to their activity.
You will ensure all requirement changes are assessed for impact to the overall system and subsystems and that implemented changes are tracked and controlled.
Selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain special access program (SAP) clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years professional experience.
Experience with systems design and requirements engineering on EW/Radar programs.
Active and transferable Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong RF experience and knowledge of microwave modules.
Technical team leadership experience of minimum of three engineers.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps).
Experience leading STE development (and prime hardware) test activities.
Experience with security requirements related to government testing.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
