Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Charge Nurse (RN) to join our Clovis Community Emergency Department (ED) team! When you join this supportive team, you will coordinate patient flow within the care area, and facilitate admissions, discharges and transfers to maximize capacity - serving as the primary liaison to the Clinical Supervisor. You will be joining a team of over 200 professionals in our recently expanded and redesigned ED comprised of 12 new beds, a new rapid assessment and special care unit, a red zone and an expanded and centralized imaging department near the ED. Operating this 78+ bed department, your unit will care for an average of 230 patients daily, ranging from moderate to high acuity.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- 2 years of experience in as a staff RN in the area of assignment or demonstrated competency by achieving a minimum 35 points on RN Competency Model Evaluation form required
- 6 months experience as a Relief Charge RN or in a team leadership role required
Licenses and Certifications- RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required
