Introduction
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Floor Supervisor to join our team. In this role you will lead the day-to-day activities of the production members, as well as promote direction and business performance for the company. Responsibilities include training production associates and ensures production is fulfilled following specs, monitoring production drive to achieve key operational metrics, ensure staff meet standards to achieve and maintain customer satisfaction and quality, assure safety and quality. This role is responsible for coordinating with other departments and personnel to ensure that all processes and activities are carried out in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This is a working lead position and will have both work assignments and supervisory duties.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist Production Manager with production schedules, ensuring that daily production needs are produced per the production schedule
- Monitor quality assurance and safety standards in production processes
- Provide instruction and coaching to associates
- Ensure that machines and raw materials are available for production.
- Monitor and report any production issues immediately to the Production Manager
- Fosters and promotes a safe and clean work environment following all company implemented safety standards.
- Performs tasks following safety guidelines and following specific processes and best practices for each task.
- Trains new team members on equipment, safety, and quality standards.
- Monitor and adjust production levels to meet customer demand ensuring that the correct materials and supplies are set up on the line.
- Resolve production issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate records of production activities
- Analyze production data and make recommendations to management
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- A key role in cycle counts for packaging and raw ingredients
- Ability to create production orders for crop cleaning and finished goods
Job Requirements
- Lead experience, 1-2 years preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in grain production, grain processing or similar manufacturing setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding or ability to learn ERP system
- Audit/ verify system BOM’s with plant computer and recipe book.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends or holidays required as production needs demand.
- Dependable, reliable, and able to attend shift daily.
