Position Summary
Responsible for the administrative and clinical aspects of the clinical department/unit(s) to include organizing, developing, directing, and assuring the delivery of cost effective, quality patient care. Ensures that patient care on the unit(s) is performed in accordance with established corporate and hospital policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and TJC and ANA standards.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing required or related field
Masters Degree preferred in Nursing, Education, Management or related field, or demonstrated equivalent competencies
Nationally certified in area of specialty preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Clinical and administrative practice
Five (5) years Nursing experience required; Three to Five years Emergency Nursing preferred.
Working knowledge of Quality Improvement process and TJC standards
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida. BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
TNCC preferred
CEN preferred
