Position Details:
--- Title: NETA Test Technician
--- Location: Phoenix, AZ
--- Travel/Schedule: You generally will work standard day-shift hours Mon-Fri at client sites in and around the Phoenix area. You will on occasion (1-2 x monthly) be asked to travel to sites out of area that will require overnight stays.
--- Compensation: Target base salary -$40/hr - $50/hr+ (higher end if you possess NETA certification)
o Bonuses/Additional Compensation: Relocation / sign-on bonus is available on a case-by-case basis (up to $5K)

Position Description: In this role you will inspect, test, collect data and maintain electrical equipment at client sites. The equipment includes Switchboards, panelboards, transformers, cabling, etc. Technicians will work with electrical equipment, such as SF6 & vacuum circuit breakers, pad mount transformers/GSU transformers, grounding, instrument transformers, and other protective devices. Some specific responsibilities and expectations include:
--- Low, Medium, and High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing
--- Testing medium-voltage cables - Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot.
--- Power transformer testing - Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc.
--- Test both electro-mechanical, microprocessor and solid-state relays
--- Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and determine optimum equipment functioning.
--- Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed.
--- Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have a strong working knowledge of electrical systems and equipment (Low, Medium and High Voltage), to include switchgear, panels, circuit breakers, relays, transformers. Motors, etc. You should also have familiarity with such test equipment as Power Factor, Ductor, Megger, CT ratio and saturation, HI-pot and winding resistance.
