Summary:The CNC Operator - Millwork role at OPTO involves operating and maintaining CNC machines for milling, cutting, and shaping various materials in the millwork industry, including particleboard, plywoods, and Acrylics. With a minimum of 2 years' experience in Millwork CNC machining (3-Axis) and basic computer skills, the Operator ensures accurate production based on provided drawings and blueprints. This position also includes tool making responsibilities, maintaining a clean workspace, and collaborating with team members. Exceptional performance can lead to growth opportunities into a Lead CNC Operator role, supporting project planning and coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain CNC machines to perform milling, cutting, and shaping of various materials including particleboard, plywoods, and Acrylics.
- Set up and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate production according to provided drawings and blueprints.
- Utilize basic computer skills, including Microsoft programs, for job documentation and machine control.
- Demonstrate tool making knowledge and experience, including measuring, changing, and creating new tools as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production schedules and quality control measures.
- Conduct daily machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Millwork CNC machining (3-Axis).
- Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft programs.
- Strong knowledge and experience in tool making, including measuring, changing, and creating tools.
- Ability to work with a variety of materials, such as particleboard, plywoods, and Acrylics.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow drawing documentation and blueprints accurately.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Familiarity with Router-CIM (CAM software), Biesse, or Homag machines is a plus.
Compensation details: 25-32 Hourly Wage
