Job Title: Cath Lab Technician (CLT) in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
Location: Tyler, TX
Shift: 4-10 hour days, with occasional 5-8 hour shifts as needed (planned in advance)
Length: 12 weeks
Compensation: $2,200.00/week
Weekends: No
Call: Rare, not mandatory
Float: Possible to cath lab, but routine floating is not expected; primary need is in the EP Labs
Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours/week
Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC
Required Qualifications at the Time of Submission:
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience in an EP Lab
- Experience with Electrophysiology Procedural Modality
- TX MRT License
- ARRT (R) or CCI (RCIS)
- BLS (AHA Only)
- ACLS (AHA Only)
- Travel experience preferred
Job Description: The Cath Lab Technician will operate all Cath lab equipment and digital processing equipment, performing duties such as scrub assistant, X-ray equipment operation, and digital processing. Responsibilities include contributing to the general operation of the department by maintaining supplies and keeping the work area orderly. The technician must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development to perform procedures on and assist in the care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. A current state-issued Radiology Technology license is required prior to employment. Specialization can be obtained in any of the following modalities with training and active participation:
- Diagnostic Cardiology
- Interventional Cardiology
- Peripheral Angiography
- Permanent Pacemaker Implantation
- Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator Implantation
Responsibilities:
- Assure the quality and acquisition of Cardiac Cath digital images
- Perform all Cath lab duties as indicated
- Pick up and stock supplies, ensuring the work area remains orderly
