What you will do as a Painter: - Perform painting, cleaning, and foaming tasks on boats in a large manufacturing facility
- Apply high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes
- Clean and prime boats
- Complete required documentation of painted boats for production purposes
- Paint and re-paint boats and parts in spray booth
- Sand boats to prepare for accent color and/or re-paint
- Move boats or parts out of paint oven on carts or overhead hanger system
- Inject rotation foam into the boat hull Ability to maintain process documentation
- Sand and prepare boats for the prime/paint process
What you need to be a Painter: - High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ months experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Ability to be respirator certified to wear a fresh air supplied respirator
- Basic math, reading, and measurement skills
- Ability to follow established safety process to handle chemicals and equipment
- Must be detailed orientated with good organizational skills
- Computer skills and knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS a plus
- Willingness to work in all possible weather conditions
