Role Summary:As an EHS / ESG Specialist working to support our EHS Manager for WTU, you will play a crucial role in ensuring environmental sustainability, workplace safety, and compliance with best practices. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce risk, achieve factory objectives, and uphold corporate, customer, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement programs to prevent environmental issues, injuries, and health risks.
- Oversee environmental, social, and governance policies, ensuring alignment with international standards.
- Define and execute the ESG strategy for local site(s), measuring sustainability and societal impact.
- Conduct regulatory safety and environmental audits, including hazardous waste assessments.
- Analyze safety reports, investigate incidents, and manage Workers Compensation claims.
- Interpret statistical data related to occupational health and accidents.
- Assist in EHS strategic planning to drive organizational progress.

Requirements:
Basic:
- Desire & capacity to work in a diverse & inclusive environment with ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values. (WEG Code of Ethics, 4th Edition)
- Four-Year degree in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Environmental Science, or related field.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Has current work authorization for employment in the United States.
- Must complete: Job interview, talent assessment, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Safety Sensitive position: Drug panel includes THC.
Preferred:
- Experience in manufacturing, including internships and co-op programs.
- Working proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish.
- Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting Certification.
- Certified Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner.
- LEED Certification.
- Resides within reasonable commuting distance of Washington, Missouri.
