Position Summary: The Production Trainer adds value to BAPI and the Production Team by providing new employee orientation and production training within the manufacturing environment. In addition, when not training, the Trainer will provide light production assembly work by taking raw materials, assembling them into finished products using engineering prints.Benefits: Relocation reimbursement, full benefits which include Health, dental, vision, PTO, 8 paid holidays, 401k match and 100% vested at 90 days and more.Principle Responsibilities:Production TrainerCollaborate with Line Leads to understand basic assembly functions and needs within a given work cellAssist in the development and revision of training programs (general production, mechanical/electrical assembly, and machine operation)Lead production new hire orientation and training, assuring they understand work instructions, safety measures (i.e. ESD, glasses, machine, weather/fire safety locations), quality standards, location of key areas and importance of attendanceConduct training for current employees that are transitioning to new cells/linesBe a point of contact for new hires and employees transitioning to new cells within their first 90 daysAssure competency in cells through teach back, skills quizzes and checkpoints throughout trainingDelivers feedback to new employees, as well as the Production Supervisor re employees understanding, productivity, areas of strength and areas for growth which identifies gaps in an employee's skill level to determine the need for additional training and/or performance managementBuilds products to specificationFollow the direction of Cell/Line Leader and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for each task Follow the direction of Supervisor/Scheduler, Cell/Line Leaders for what is worked on and whenUse the appropriate tool or tools for each jobConsult the appropriate BOM and on-line print before proceeding with each taskSolder, strip and crimp wires, pot (apply waterproofing materials), calibrate, and assemble as directedUse time wisely and move from task to task efficiently Consult sufficient on-line and paper documentation to do accurate in-process inspections for self and othersTransitions from jobs within lines/cells and is able to perform duties in 2-3 lines/cellsCooperates in the overall task of getting products shipped on timeFollows Instructions for participation in monthly inventoryDepending on the area assigned, it is expected that during inventory the employee will accurately count parts, correctly document quantity counted, and may also audit counts of others or help scanning product.Maintains industry knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing related publications; establishing networks.
