Banko Overhead Doors is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Garage Door Installation Territory Lead to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing a crew of garage door installers, training, job checks, and other day-to-day processes directly related to the installation of garage doors. The ideal candidate for this job has excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, as well as a passion for teamwork, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform garage door installation and service when assigned.
- Directly supervise the team of garage door installers.
- Set job-specific expectations and hold associates accountable.
- Monitor policies for “best practices” in the garage door team.
- Conduct team member work quality reviews.
- Ensure Banko standards are met within team.
- Manage team, encourage collaboration, mitigate conflict, foster positive communication.
- Be aware of financial aspects of the division of (cost of service/labor) and work with District Managers to improve profitability. (P&L)
- Field training of all new garage door installers.
- Train new hires on proper installation and service processes.
- Periodically check new hires’ work once they are on their own.
- Refresher training of installers.
- Ensure installers are updated in new products, policies and procedures.
- Job checks
- Check in with builders on scheduling and expectations.
- Schedule installations with District Managers.
- Provide assistance and support to installers and all stakeholders involved in installations.
- Resolve issues in the field with installations.
- Assist in the installation of garage doors when needed.
- Educate all stakeholders on any personnel or installation requirements.
- Quality control for installations.
- Oversee loading of installers in the morning
- Check paperwork daily for completeness.
- Answer questions and provide advice on jobs.
- Ensure all installers have fully stocked trucks.
- Ensure safety while loading.
- Ensure safety on all aspects of a garage door installation.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects with accuracy.
- Exceptional communication skills, both over the phone and in person.
- Strong sense of urgency and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and computer-savvy.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of a project.
- Strong sense of safety.
- Ability to lift 70+ lbs.
Education and Experience:
- Background in construction, inspections, or related experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clear 3-year driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous background in garage doors a plus.
