Job Summary - The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for the delivery of patient care.
- The nurse is guided by professional nursing standards.
- The RN may direct activities of other nursing department personnel.
- All nursing care functions/responsibilities are based on the ANA standards.
- Staff is required to maintain a level of physical/mental health needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics and St. Mary's Healthcare Center's Mission and Service Excellence Standards.
Education and/or Experience - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the State of South Dakota.
- Participates in educational opportunities and updates/maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.
- Basic Life Support ( BLS ) is required for all patient care staff.
- ACLS is required by 1 year of employment in E.R.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course is required within 1 year in E.R.
- PALS is required by one year of employment in E.R.
- Attends all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.
- Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within one year of employment.
- Certification requirements to be maintained while working in the department.
Licensure/Certification/Registration - Current licensure with the State of SD as a Registered Nurse or multi-state licensure.
Work Schedule - Day/Night Shift rotating, e/o wknd/hol, occas call; 24hrs/2wks
Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
