About You
This person will perform production duties related to the process of thermoplastic molding. Also, they will assist in the completion of engineering assignments regarding new method development, designs, cost estimates and work processes. May assist in the overall planning, installation and maintenance of injection molding and its supporting functions in the department.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitors and adjusts machine parameters to produce acceptable parts with input from supervisor, quality, and engineering

Monitors daily production efficiency using BARCO system. Ensures proper work order completion with respect to all quality and planning standards.

Coordinates and sets up machines, robots and other equipment and performs necessary tests to aid in production. Trains and demonstrates to employees in the correct procedures for press operation, as needed.

Provides feedback to engineering on status of work instructions and any corrections or improvements needed.

Gathers information and history to establish trends and help solve problems. Prepares summary reports for supervisors to evaluate.

Assists in the training of employees in proper work methods for safe and efficient performance of job duties.

Maintains records, files and other documentation pertinent to assignments.

Develops technical skills by attending training classes, seminars, exhibits and trade shows; both on-site and off-site.

All work affecting product quality shall be competent based on appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.

Specifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 + years related experience preferred.
- Performs work under general supervision.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to process associated departmental equipment such as thermoplastic Molding machines and various robotic systems.
- Ability to understand, modify, adjust, and reprogram associated departmental equipment such as Siemens and Fanuc controllers.
- Familiarity with quality standards and documentations (part prints).
