In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
We are seeking a Senior Principal Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) Engineer to join our team in Aurora, Colorado. In this role, the Senior Principal SI&T Engineer works with teams and program management to ensure user or system function properly. This includes a detailed understanding of Vehicle, Space & Communications, end user intelligence needs and how to apply the system in support of intelligence needs. As an SI&T Engineer, you will assist in the documentation and definition of all Test and Integration events. The SI&T Engineer must have a clear understanding of all test related requirements, interfaces, and test results. The successful candidate will have the ability to track and gather artifacts and analyze results.
What You Will Do
- Work as part of the SI&T Team in an Agile, DEVSecOps environment to include:
- Support to overall test strategy, including plan and procedure development
- Integrating software and hardware
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues
- Development of automated test scripts and their execution
- Generation, review, maintenance, and management of documentation
- Conducting performance analysis, risk analysis, and trade studies
- Lead a team of Systems Integration & Test Engineers to support modernization development
- Define and conduct system integration tests, including data generation, configuration settings, and test execution.
- Collaborate across disciplines and at all levels in order to ensure the system operates as designed, and communicate, address and resolve issues.
- Perform system maintenance as needed.
- Participate in technical interchange meetings (TIMs) with the Customer
- Perform within an Agile environment, communicate status to section leads and identify potential risk with recommended solutions.
- Obtain and maintain access as required by program.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience in System Integration and Test, including:
- Defining and conducting integration scope
- Generating test data, configuration settings, and test planning and execution
- Communicating status, results, and recovery plans (as applicable) to key internal and/or external stakeholders
- Direct interactions with external customers
- Experience with systems and requirements in a test environment: requirements analysis, developing associated documentation for integration and verification (plans, procedures, and reports), and supporting integration and verification execution events.
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite, including Jira and Confluence
- Experience with GitLab Pipeline Automated Testing
- Experience working in Java development
- Experience engaging with and presenting to technical and programmatic leadership
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Previous experience working as a Lead Systems Integration & Test Engineer
- Systems Engineering experience on a large government program, with preference for ground systems solutions programs
- Previous SIGINT Experience
- Experience with Agile and DevOps
- Experience with pipeline development and maintenance, and associated tools (such as Jenkins/Bitbucket/Gitlab)
- Experience with manual testing techniques including writing new procedures from scratch and maintaining/updating legacy test procedures
- Experience with test automation including script development, root cause analysis, and resolution using tool suites such as Selenium
- Expertise with troubleshooting complex S/W systems and develop issue closure plans with coordinated solutions across internal teams and external stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
