Seeking a board certified/board eligible PM&R physician to join their expanding faculty. Multiple positions exist:
- General PMR: The successful candidate will provide care on a CARF-accredited General Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Injury, and/or Traumatic Brain Injury inpatient unit as well as in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Pediatric PMR: Fixed term or tenure track positions are available. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Neurosurgery: management of musculoskeletal patients at the ECU Health Neurosurgery and Spine Center. This is primarily an outpatient clinic assignment, with the physician housed onsite with the Neurosurgeons, at our Pain Center, and our outpatient clinic; but the candidate would also participate in didactics with residents, rotating medical students, and occasional research students.
- Residency Director: Physiatrist with Graduate Medical Education leadership experience to lead our residency program. The applicant will also perform patient care duties on a CARF-accredited Rehab Inpatient Specialty Unit and/or in the Outpatient Clinic setting. The Program Director will help establish the strategic direction of the program and will be responsible for maintaining the standards, quality and reputation of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program.
The PM&R Department serves the rehabilitation needs of the 1.4 million people in a 29-county region of eastern North Carolina and is located within Medical Center with Spinal Cord, Brain Injury, General Rehab, and Pediatric Rehabilitation Units. The Medical Center's inpatient unit is one of few rehabilitation facilities in the U.S. accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in eleven or more specialty areas.

- Opportunities exist for performance of EMGs and ultrasounds and other outpatient clinical needs including outpatient musculoskeletal clinics in our newly developed Ortho/Musculoskeletal service line, amputee care, spasticity management including baclofen pumps, Botox and phenol, EMG/NCS, and wound/hyperbaric medicine
