What Would You Do? The right candidate is responsible for processing and filing paperwork to establish or transfer the ownership of a motor vehicle. They are responsible for handling registration paperwork like titles and license plates, filing tax documents, and occasionally sending out bills or contracts for signing. They submit all appropriate paperwork for public record and helps new owners understand the process of changing the title on a vehicle and what they need to do to finish the process. They are responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.
What will you be responsible for?
- Prepares tax and title documents and submits all legal transfer documents to the DMV.
- Processes lease pay-offs and refinancing.
- Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder is paid off before processing title applications.
- Bills out all dealer trades, prepares Certificates of Origin & Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
- On new and used vehicle sales that are sold on retail contract with a financial institution: processes contracts, making sure that a credit statement, insurance forms, warranty forms, and other information regarding the sale are included with the contract before it is sent to the financial institution for assignment purchase.
- Completes the title work on each vehicle sold and sends it to the appropriate county courthouse so that the purchaser can obtain license and title on the vehicle.
- Calls financial institutions to obtain vehicle pay-off amounts on vehicles that are traded in on a sale.
Do you have the necessary education and experience?
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1 year of general office experience.
- 1-3 years of automotive title experience.
- Automotive accounting experience is highly preferred.

- Compensation, Hourly, Non-Exempt: $18.75 – $24.50 DOE
