Job Summary
- The Occupational Therapist-Pediatric is accountable for evaluating, planning, and executing all aspects of Occupational Therapy, infant through geriatric, with disabilities, disorders, and injuries to develop and restore maximal functional level.
- Primary caseload in pediatrics is birth to 21. Occasional coverage for hospital patients for all other age ranges as part of a weekend/holiday rotation.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer’s status.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
Education and/or Experience
- Master’s Degree is required.
- Doctorate Degree is preferred.
- Must be a graduate of/or certified from a curriculum of Occupational Therapy approved by the AOTA accrediting body.
- 0-6 months of experience is required.
- 1-2 years of experience is preferred.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS
- Must be licensed to practice Occupational Therapy by the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) is required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is preferred.
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Occasional weekend and holiday

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
