Spears Manufacturing has an opening for an Experienced Industrial Maintenance person.
Candidate will be required to have daily hands on maintenance responsibilities. Candidate must have a working knowledge of production equipment and facility operations.
Must understand the following items: Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electric, Electronics, PLC Controls, HVAC, Welding Fabrication, … to name most.
This individual must be able to manage tasks, work harmoniously with current maintenance staff; with a goal of urgency, simplicity and common sense. This job requires self-motivation and taking ownership of all plant functions.
Pay: $25 - $35 per hour - Based on Work History and Skill Level

SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment safely according to predictive and productive maintenance systems. Maintain and improve facilities operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Primary duties include the following however other duties may apply.)
• Perform maintenance functions including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines and support equipment.
• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s support equipment, plus a working knowledge of PLC functions.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production runs and performs scheduled maintenance and repairs during machine downtime.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
• Have the ability to prioritize and diagnose problems, repair or replace parts, and make
adjustments as needed.
• Perform and schedule regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Track and maintain records on all maintenance and repairs to machines and facility.
• Set hours, plus the ability to work overtime until the tasks are complete.
• Working knowledge of Extrusion processes a plus. We are an EOE employer.
