JOB TITLE: Clinical Supervisor, Full-time
DEPT: Castalian Springs, TN
SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri; 1st Shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides supervision or directs supervision to be provided to Clinical Staff, under the guidelines of Tennessee Department of Health, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and the Board of Licensing for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors. Responsibilities may include hiring, interviewing, and training employees, planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems with the assistance of the site manager
- Directs treatment practices and monitors performance. Monitors patient care delivery and patient welfare
- Monitors all corporate policy regarding treatment services
- Provides supervision or directs supervision to be provided to Clinical Staff, under the guidelines of Tennessee Department of Health
- Monitors the treatment milieu/cleanliness/presentation of the facility; identifies program needs and communicates those to immediate supervisor
- Develops work schedule for all clinical staff, ensuring that all shifts at all licensed buildings are adequately covered and meet licensure requirements
- Interviews clients, reviews records, and confers with other professionals to evaluate client's condition
- Conducts assessment of the biopsychosocial needs of client, and develops Master Treatment Plan goals and objectives based on the initial assessment, and the client's input
- Develops referral network, referring individuals for additional/alternate treatment, as indicated
- Establishes criteria for discharge based on client goals/objectives and progress made to reach these goals. Documents the client's participation in this process
- Counsels clients individually and in group sessions to assist client in overcoming alcohol and drug dependency, including didactic lectures, as scheduled
- Conducts phone contacts with referral sources, legal authorities, and other collateral contacts; has proper authorization forms completed appropriately, to assure client rights are protected
- Refers client to other support services as needed such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, and employment services
- Provides crisis intervention services, as needed
- Works cooperatively with other staff in facilitating discharge planning and placement of clients in need
- Other duties as requested by the Site Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong computer skills. Ability to type 30 wpm. Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs and Electronic Health Record software
- TN licensed Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor or working towards licensure; optional NAADAC certified addiction counselor. If in personal recovery, demonstrable commitment to own recovery; two years of continuous sobriety is desired.
- Pass Background Check and Drug Screen required
- Keeps a current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Valid TN D.L. with "F" endorsement required; "F" endorsement can be obtained once hired
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, LADAC or A&D Certification, preferred
- One-year minimum experience with addictions, but willing to accept with only addiction experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
