JOB SUMMARY:
Tomorrow, RNG is currently seeking a skilled electrician to join our team. The electrician will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, as well as troubleshooting and resolving electrical problems throughout the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operating instruments, electrical tools, and equipment to fabricate or repair parts and equipment
- Operating mobile equipment as necessary
- Ensuring the operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and adhering to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications
- Designing, constructing, installing, and repairing electrical circuits for tools and plant equipment
- Testing electronic circuits using instruments such as digital volt meters and analog testing equipment to identify defects
- Inspecting, dismantling, cleaning, troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, replacing, erecting, and maintaining equipment throughout the plant
- Testing all plant instruments, including pneumatics, flow, pressure, temperature, and level
- Adhering to all safety and environmental regulations
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the operation and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment and circuits in the plant
- Identifying equipment by its assigned equipment number for proper lockout
- Collaborating with each department to provide necessary electrical support for resolving day-to-day maintenance issues
- Keeping an electronic log of any significant incidents during shift coverage
- Conducting safety compliance audits to identify unsafe conditions or acts
- Assembling, installing, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, modifying, troubleshooting, and testing electrical and electronic systems and equipment
- Troubleshooting motor circuits, wire, fuses, solid-state contactors, solid-state overloads, electronic overloads, thermal couplers, PID loops, and understanding process variables, voltage calculations, and electrical blueprints
- Taking responsibility for the proper maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualification/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years in a process manufacturing environment;
- 1-3 years electrical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong commitment to safety and the ability to represent the company's safety culture positively
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting operations and safety manuals, as well as analyzing and applying troubleshooting and repair techniques on plant equipment
- Proficiency in various computer skills including Word, Excel, and email systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work a typical Monday-Friday schedule with on-call 24/7 availability for system outages and emergencies
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet business needs
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform tasks that involve crouching, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
- Ability to work in an environment with constant loud noises and extreme heat
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check
