JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you passionate about promoting health and wellness? Join our dynamic team as a Wellness Services Coordinator! In this role, you'll coordinate wellness services, including blood screenings and health outcome delivery, for individual patients and client groups. Collaborate with SPH lab and pharmacy to ensure smooth lab processing and flu immunizations. If you're an LPN or RN, you'll have the opportunity to administer flu vaccines and provide one-on-one health coaching. Be a vital part of a team dedicated to enhancing health and well-being in our community.
**This position is a fully in person role**
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Health Screenings: Lead and execute health screenings for wellness clients and SPH employees. Secure contracts, schedule screenings, and ensure the team is fully staffed, including acquiring extra phlebotomists as needed.
- Patient Interaction: Perform follow-ups, interpret screening results, educate patients, and schedule physician follow-ups for abnormal results.
- Wellness Coaching: Offer virtual or in-person coaching, using evidence-based strategies to promote behavior change and improve health outcomes.
- Training & Development: Train wellness technicians in phlebotomy, body measurements, confidentiality, lab processing, equipment maintenance, and accurate documentation.
- Community Engagement: Represent SPH at health fairs and community events, assisting in the development and implementation of marketing and outreach programs.
- Administrative Duties: Organize and submit client billing, manage patient deposits, and maintain records and reports.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Clinical Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Health Coaching: 1-2 years of health coaching experience preferred.
- Office Skills: 2-4 years of experience in office functions, data entry, and data organization.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and EMR systems, with knowledge of HIPAA privacy laws.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATES
- Education: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a health-related field, or equivalent experience/education in clinical settings.
- Certifications: LPN certification required, Montana Driver’s License required, BLS certification within 6 months of hire. Preferred certifications include Phlebotomy and Wellness/Health Coach certification.
