What You'll Do
This pivotal role will involve working closely with dealers to provide comprehensive demo support, delivering product training sessions, and actively gathering valuable insights through the Voice of Dealer (VOD) and Voice of Customer (VOC) programs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the construction machinery sector, either with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or a dealer, and possess a strong understanding of compact track loaders, mini-excavators, and compact equipment attachments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demo Support: Collaborate closely with dealers to facilitate product demonstrations, ensuring that compact construction machinery is showcased effectively to potential customers. Provide technical expertise and guidance during demos to highlight the key features and benefits of the machinery.
- Product Training: Develop and conduct comprehensive training programs for dealers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to effectively market, sell, and support compact construction machinery. Stay abreast of product updates, technological advancements, and industry trends to ensure training materials are current and relevant.
- Voice of Dealer (VOD): Act as the primary point of contact for dealers, actively soliciting feedback, insights, and suggestions regarding product performance, market demand, and customer preferences. Compile and analyze VOD data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, informing product development and strategic decision-making processes.
- Voice of Customer (VOC): Gather feedback directly from customers through surveys, interviews, and on-site visits to gain a deeper understanding of their needs, challenges, and satisfaction levels. Translate VOC insights into actionable recommendations for product enhancements, marketing strategies, and customer support initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer service to drive alignment and ensure cohesive execution of product strategies. Serve as the voice of the field, advocating for dealer and customer needs throughout the product lifecycle.
- Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the technical specifications, capabilities, and applications of compact track loaders, skid steers, mini-excavators, and compact equipment attachments. Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to uphold product quality and compliance standards.

Requirements:
What You'll Need to be Successful
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in compact construction machinery, preferably with an OEM or dealer.
- Experience developing and delivering training preferred.
- Proven track record of success in product management, dealer support, or related roles within the construction machinery industry.
- Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with compact track loaders, skid steers, mini-excavators, and compact equipment attachments. Operator experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel extensively (>50%) to dealer locations and customer sites across the United States and Canada.
