Position DetailsThe Director of Safety and Health will provide comprehensive professional support to management and all employees working across the company.Responsible for leading and managing the Company's Safety and Health initiatives, loss control programs, and the development of a safety and risk management culture dedicated to being best in class. Assures company policies and practices are designed to comply with OSHA, NYS DOL, DOT, FMCSA, ANSI, NYS DEC and EPA rules and regulations as they apply to General Contractors and the operations of the company.Key Roles /ResponsibilitiesOversee safety performance of all projects and locationsCommunicate and provide monthly reports to senior leadershipMaintain and annually update Companies Health and Safety Plan(s)Manage and provide technical Safety data for ISN/AVETTA and other client 3rd party evaluators.Manage and provide support for Medical Monitoring ProgramsManage the procurement, warehousing and overall management of Safety related equipment and materials Manage Workers Compensation, incident investigations and medical management / return to work initiatives.Manage DOT Fleet drivers -Non -CDL criteria and complianceCoordinate and or complete office and field safety auditsProvide technical support for confined space entry, fall hazards, traffic control, etc.Investigate and manage General liability claimsInvestigate auto accidents and manage insurance claimsMaintain OSHA 300, 300A logs and distribute/post as neededEnsure subcontractors adequately complying with safety rulesProvide and support technical safety data and information as needed for proposalsSupport project teams with client requirements for site visits and safety meetingsWork with project teams on identifying required safety training Manage/author and distribute Safety NotificationsReview and approve site specific safety plans and Accident Prevention PlansOversee incident tracking programAssist with the contract prequalification processAssist estimating staff with bids and proposals for additional workBenefits401k Plan with 15% of pay employer profit sharing contribution after 1 year of serviceFull health insurance fully funded by the employer for all policy types.
