They will be responsible for shaping the future of the company's operations and maintaining the company's reputation and high standards. This is a proactive and goal-driven position requiring someone who is highly organized with excellent communication skills. The Plant Manager will provide oversight in partnership with the CFO, ensuring that all processes, training requirements, schedules, policies, and procedures are followed, and the set production goals are met. This is a collaborative company in which we all work together to achieve our goals. There may be times when you are asked to lend a hand outside of your main responsibilities.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESOversees the daily workflow of production and shipping. Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations. Ensures completion of timely performance evaluations by Supervisors for their direct reports and general labor staff.Ensures safety training, toolbox talks, and safety requirements are completed promptly.Liaison on the Safety committee as a managerial representative for production and shipping and maintain mandatory attendance of all department members.Ensures direct reports are held responsible for departmental metrics.Handles performance management, discipline, and termination of employees in a consistent manner and following company policy. Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.Oversees production quotas and schedules, ensuring inventory and shipment targets are met.Collaborates with the purchasing department to verify, review, maintain, and report on materials and production inventories.Identifies and recommends cost controls and other improvements to the production process.Collaborate on the creation and implementation of all operations, plans, policies, SOPs, and procedures regarding production and shipping.Create and implement best practices to include standard operating procedures (SOPs) in partnership with Human Resources for plant management. Select, appoint, and train staff on the operation of the operation's automated tools and vehicles such as tuggers, forklifts, etc.Plan, create, and manage the daily/weekly work schedules. Oversees inventory management in partnership with Production & Shipping Supervisor(s) to ensure minimum spec inventory requirements are monitored. Maintains vendor relations.Establish systems and chain of command to collect and maintain efficiency in operations to aid strategic planning, staffing, and operational decisions.Serve as a role model and resource for staff concerning policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulationsConsistently report efficiency and capacity levels verbally and in written form to the CFO.Attending and contributing to weekly EOS and operations meetings. Facilitate daily huddles to communicate status and objectives.Participate in the development and review of procedures.Effectively implement procedures to ensure operations are consistently maintained at the highest possible standards in alignment with lean, Six Sigma, and 6S principles.Communicate budgetary goals and status updates in partnership with the CFO.Work closely with other managers and supervisors in order to execute the company's overall strategy.Serves as an external representative of the organization and as a liaison to support achieving company goals.Consistently monitor operations efficiencies and perform data analysis on budgetary needs for the CFO. Provide CFO consistent feedback on all department needs and suggestions.Responsible for adhering to a work schedule consistent with business needs and operations staffing to include weekly availability.
