CT/MRI Technologist - $7,500 Sign On Bonus

Job Summary:
Appropriately documents shielding on all 13 and younger patients.
Active knowledge of all CT and MRI exams, demonstrating proficiency.
Manipulates and adjusts MRI/CT scanning parameters to achieve diagnostic studies for appropriate age group.
Performs radiographic CT/MRI examination and properly positions and instructs patient for exam.
Performs venipuncture, IV patency and IV maintenance according to established guidelines. Prepares and administers contrast media according to established guidelines.
Properly screens patients/family/visitors and other employees prior to entering MRI scan room.
Follows established pediatric scanning protocols and documents required information.
Transports patients to imaging dept and properly communicates handoff communication to nursing staff.
Recognizes need for the control/assessment of pain and falls for patients. Helps prevent or reduce pain level and falls when possible. Reports occurrences of medical/healthcare errors and action taken to improve patient safety, in response to occurrences and proactive findings as outlined in Patient Safety Plan.
Flexible schedule. Willing to work additional shifts/hours when needed during high census, adverse weather, and employee absences/vacancies. Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
Education - ARRT registered graduate of approved school. At least one year of experience in radiology and one year experience in either CT or MRI required to gain familiarity with processes and procedures in Radiology, CT and MRI.
Experience - Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with physicians, patients, patient families, visitors, service engineers and salesmen. General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation a maintenance of radiology equipment acquired through completion of training at an approved school of radiologic technology. Post ARRT registry in CT and preferred in MRI as well.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Communication skills, computer skills, task oriented and organized. Analytical skills required to determine method for providing required imaging based on specifics of each individual case, utilization of techniques, and to provide technical advice to other employees.

Pay: $27.71 - $45.75 per hour
