POSITION TITLE: Specialty Clinic RN/LPN
Department: Specialty Clinic
Reports to: Specialty Clinic Supervisor, CASO, CEO

Purpose of Position:
Responsible for checking patient in, doing appropriate vital signs, weights and ordering doctor ordered testing. To maintain a consistent high standard of care. Responsible for making sure proper documentation is turned in to the appropriate department at the end of the day. Responsible for all orders, medications, and making sure tests get completed.
Essential Functions:

- Assures that the standards of operation of the department are in compliance with the standards set by SCH.
- Directs the overall activities to make sure everything runs smoothly on clinical days.
- Follows doctors orders as he/she has ordered them and schedules follow up appointments on the proper sheet to turn into the appointment scheduler.
- Keeps up to date on in-services for new equipment.
- Maintains levels in inventory with placing the proper supply requisition to material management within a timely manner.
- Maintains continued education hours.
- Using independent judgment within your limitations.
- Participates as an active member of hospital committees as assigned.
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department for proper paper work.
- Maintain clinic charts.
- Able to work closely with others in positive ways.
- Able to delegate appropriate jobs to C.N.A.
- Able to follow doctors' orders and make sure medications and labs are given/taken correctly per orders.

Requirements:
Education, Qualifications, Experience:
Must be an LPN or RN and must have experience in a clinical settings position.
Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS optional
Must have interpersonal skills. Capable of mature and independent judgment.
Expectation of Service: Full-time, Part-time, PRN position
Physical Requirements: Occasional sitting, frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting/carrying 10-35 pounds; frequent reaching/grasping, twisting, pulling/pushing, occasional exposure to Sharp instruments. Frequent exposure to equipment. Continuously writing in English and working irregular hours.
