Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Respiratory Transport ServicesSchedule:Part timeHours:12Job Details:This paramedic role provides emergency patient care in the ED and advanced life support (ALS) transport of pediatric patients when deemed appropriate. Transport duties will also include transporting psychiatric transports to outlying facilities. Down time will be spent supporting ED patient care or Comm Center functions during hours of assignment. All duties will be in accordance with the Ohio Public Safety Rules regarding location of care, supervision required and ALS transport scope of practice.
CPR: Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation - American Heart Association- Preferred
PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association- Preferred

Dayton Children's provides ground transportation for critically ill and injured children who need to be transferred to or from the hospital and another facility. Our fully equipped transport vehicles serve as medical intensive care units, and are staffed by highly trained, experienced nurses and respiratory therapists. Patients who are transported from other hospitals to Dayton Children's may include: Newborns who need to be transferred to the Dayton Children's neonatal intensive care unit, Patients who need a higher level of care than another hospital is able to provide, or Children who were hospitalized at a distant facility and want to receive care closer to home

BLS: Basic Life Support for Healthcare & Public Safety - American Heart Association, CPR - American Red Cross, Ohio Emergency Medical Services- Paramedic Certification - Ohio Department of Public Safety EMS
