:
The Senior Licensing Specialist will be responsible for all of UWM's mortgage lender licenses in all 50 states. This individual will need to be familiar with state regulatory agency requirements and statutory law governing mortgage lenders and financial institutions. This individual will manage all company licensing functions within NMLS, including company (MU1), branch (MU3) and individual filings, as well as managing all requirements pertaining to control persons, qualified individuals and mortgage loan originators. This individual will be responsible for researching state-specific licensing and NMLS requirements in order to obtain, maintain, and renew various mortgage lender and/or consumer credit licenses. The Senior Licensing Specialist will also be responsible for conducting audits of UWM's licenses, surety bonds, reporting processes and other licensing related matters. The ideal candidate should be very familiar with the mortgage lending process and have mortgage licensing experience. The Senior Licensing Specialist reports to the Deputy General Counsel and will work closely with UWM's Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Onsite attendance is required in our Pontiac office.
Responsible for setting up company, branch and individual licenses in all 50 states.
Complete and file all licensing reports due quarterly and annually.
Responsible for filing entity registration renewals with secretary of state's offices.
Responsible for coordinating the timely filing of mortgage call reports (MCRs).
Ensure that audited annual financial statements are submitted in NMLS timely.
Respond to conditions placed on the company's licenses by various state regulatory agencies in NMLS and communicate with state regulators to fulfill requirements to remove conditions.
Track all licensing due dates and requirements using Airtable and/or other methods.
Work with third party vendor to register all company mortgage loan originators for their required annual continuing education courses.
Review newly enacted legislation in each state for any changes to licensing provisions that impact UWM or its subsidiaries.
Respond to licensing inquiries from the Risk team regarding mortgage broker licenses and statuses in NMLS; reach out to state regulators for guidance.
Draft and revise company licensing policies and procedures to ensure that they are current and compliant.
Responsible for obtaining and renewing surety bonds for UWM and any new entities .
Responsible for conducting audits of UWM's licenses and surety bonds.
Identify opportunities to improve processes.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Bachelor's degree (or relevant education) and a minimum of two years of mortgage industry experience is required.
A minimum of one year of mortgage licensing experience is required.
Experience in a legal or compliance setting is preferred.
Must demonstrate initiative with a high attention to detail.
Must possess confidence in decision making abilities while also ensuring that processes are compliant with all state laws and regulations.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external parties.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office.
This individual must be highly organized and be capable of managing multiple time-sensitive tasks with minimal supervision.
