Position Purpose: Manage all day to day activities of the Certified Pharmacy Technicians and ensure that they are performing the Board defined technician duties under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist
- Ensure compliance with policy and procedures related to mail order prescription entry, dispensing and processing.
- Develop and implement procedures or programs in assigned areas, such as prescription monitoring programs, licensure process, audits and legal compliance
- Evaluate team’s performance, assess training needs and provide applicable training.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of status of prescription orders in the software systems.
- Responsible for meeting all mail order prescription processing deadlines
- Investigate and resolve routine patient care questions and issues.
- Involve or refer patients to Pharmacist for non-routine patient care and/or counseling questions and/or additional information.
- Assist with systems set up to ensure proper dispensing of medications
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree preferred. 4+ years of pharmacy technician experience in mail order prescription facility, hospital pharmacy or retail pharmacy setting. Experience as a lead in a functional area or managing cross functional teams on large scale projects preferred.
License/Certification: Current state’s Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license in good standing with Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Pay Range: $54,000.00 - $97,100.00 per year
