Job Summary
- The RN Supervisor is accountable for coordinating the MDS process as well as day to day clinical management of residents care.
- Supervises all household staff to ensure quality care and teamwork in the household, with resident directed care.
- This is done in accordance with our policies, procedures, and the state and federal guidelines to ensure resident care is delivered and all aspects of the household environment are being met.
- Supports the hospital's goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals.
- Provides exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests and fellow employees at all times.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
- Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of a registered nursing education program.
- Must have current RN licensure in the state of SD or multi-state privilege to practice in SD if residing in a compact state outside of SD.
- Experience in long-term care is preferred.
- BLS Certification
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Must have current RN licensure in the State of South Dakota or "multi-state privilege" to practice in South Dakota if residing in a compact state outside of South Dakota.
- Current CPR certification or completion upon next available program.
- Valid Driver's License.
Work Schedule
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks
- Every 10th weekend
- Occasional holidays
- Every 10th weekend on-call
