The function of this position is to perform clinical activities under the direction and supervision of the physician(s) in an Urgent Care setting. Comply with state and regulatory agencies. Provide support to lab and x-ray personnel functioning in the clinical setting. -Prioritizes patient symptoms. Exhibits effective communication. -Stays current with disease processes, outbreaks, and any information that would be beneficial for staff. -Completes required documentation consistent with the system used in the facility. -Develops and trains clinical staff.Performs a variety of tasks for the patients and providers including but not limited to triaging patients, taking patient vitals, obtaining medical information, charting, preparing exam rooms, and other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job. -However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.A. Licensure: -Registered Nurse with unencumbered license eligible to practice in the state of North Carolina.
B. Work experience: -Prefer two years experience working in an urgent care or emergency department setting.
C. Knowledge, skills and abilities required: -Must have the ability to work independently, have strong oral skills, good basic math skills and be computer literate. -
D. American Heart Association BLS maintainedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extended periods of walking, standing, bending and stooping may be required. Ability to hear clearly and have visual acuity necessary for computer use. -Ability to do repetitive work, keyboarding and writing. -Ability to lift 25 pounds. -Ability to hear and distinguish heart, lung, and bowel sounds.EEOC Statement:
