The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Solution Management Engineer to join the F-15 Mission Systems team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
The Boeing Company is currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Solutions Management Engineer who wishes to expand into the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Solution Management leadership role and become part of the F-15 Mission Systems team in St. Louis, Missouri. Mission Systems is responsible for the design, development, and testing of avionics and mission software on the F-15. These systems include new avionics such as weapons, sensors, navigation, radios, displays, and mission processing.
As a F-15 Mission Systems Solution Management Engineer you will provide solution level leadership to teams representing multiple skill areas, working with program management, leadership, customers, subject matter experts, and engineering teams, throughout the entire development, fielding and operational lifecycle of the F-15.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop, prioritize, and execute Statements of Work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing, and new business requirements in alignment with the SAFe operating rhythm for the organizations
Understand and support program work by collaborating with Business Owners and the program’s SEIT counterpart.
Communicate and prioritize with customers and Sr. management to obtain approval, identify, manage, and incorporate changes to statements of work and assess the impact of those changes
Negotiate proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs, schedules, and roadmap
Lead project execution to complete the work statement and identify performance metrics
Plan, identify, prioritize, and coordinate resources required over the life of the program that requires coordination with multiple scrum/Kanban teams, external resources, and customers
Compare actual results to the baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned
Provide technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of products, you may act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) or delegate
Develops Program PI Objective definition and work with Product Owner and Kanban Leads in planning to those objectives
Actively participate in PI planning across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
Define releases and program increments
Travel will be approximately 10%.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
More than 5 years of experience in Engineering
More than 3 years of systems integration experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
2 or more years of experience in an Agile Lead Role: Product Manager or Product Owner
2 or more years of experience with Mission Systems
2 or more years of experience with Product Management: schedule and cost management
Experience with Proposal Estimation
Experience with Earned Value Management
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Clearquest, Git, DOORS
Strong collaboration and coordination skills
Current SAFe Certifications
Typical Education/Experience:
Lead Level 4:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Senior Level 5:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work
experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Summary pay range (Level 4 Lead): $119,850– $162,150
Summary pay range (Level 5 Senior): $147,050 – $198,950
