Compensation:$70,200.00 - $87,700.00 Annual

What You Will Do
- Monitors and reviews chart documentation and reports by staff for & quality of care.
- Ensures that clinical care is provided by qualified staff in accordance with the individualized plan of care and includes assessment of clients’ psychosocial status, understanding of social / emotional factors related to health problems, short-term individual counseling, utilization of community resource planning, crisis intervention, family involvement for treatment plan as applicable.
- Directs, supervises, coordinates and as needed, directly delivers high quality behavioral health services. Ensures compliance with State / Federal regulations and Agency policies.
- Initiates / participates in case conferences of difficult to service clients & represents program on record review and quality assurance review committees.
- Performs all inherent duties in a supervisory role. Ensures effective staff orientation & training, interviews candidates for employment, evaluates staff performance and recommends hirings, promotions, salary actions, and terminations, as appropriate.
- Maintains close communication with other disciplines involved in client care, participates in special projects, and performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsLicenses & Certifications:
- Current registration to practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State, required
- For Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) only: current registration as either Master Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), or Advanced CASAC, or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a CASAC, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a CASAC required
Education:
- Master's degree in Social Work after successfully completing a prescribed course of study at a graduate school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and the Education Dept, required
Work Experience:
- Minimum two years’ experience as Licensed Social Worker, which includes one year in a Home Care setting, required
- Minimum one year experience in supervision of Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Mental Health Counselors or graduate Social Work students, preferred
- Effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, required
- Strong computer literacy, including use of electronic systems for clinical record keeping, required
- For CCBH only:
- Minimum two years’ experience in an OASAS-certified substance use treatment setting, required
- Minimum one year experience supervising substance use counselors, required
- Experience providing substance use treatment to adolescents is desired, preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
