Responsibilities- Coordinate the staff schedule to ensure proper coverage in the unit
- Train, evaluate, and perform competencies on all staff
- Coordinate with our clinical affiliations and ensure students are receiving sufficient clinical time
- Manage inventory on a weekly basis
- Prepare patients for scanning
- Determine appropriate type and dose of contrast to be administered
- Provide accurate explanations and instructions
- Perform venipuncture, IV patency and maintenance procedures according to established guidelines
- Monitor the patient's physical condition for any adverse reactions during the procedure
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
Qualifications Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Three (3) years experience in CT scan
- Active and current New Jersey State License-NJDEP Radiologic Technologist
- Maintenance of CEU Credits
- American Registry of Radiology Technologist (A.R.R.T.) certification
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Applied Science
