Systems Engineer - Counter UAS
Summary
Advanced Technology Systems Company, Innovation & Engineering Solutions Division in Gilbert, AZ, is looking for experienced candidate for the position of Systems Engineer - Counter UAS to join our team. ATSC's primary product lines include, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), hardware platforms, and air drop.
Essential Responsibilities
This position requires strong independent problem-solving skills, engineering team leadership, technical writing, and communication skills in support of an array of existing and future work for US Military and foreign defense customers. The candidate must have experience developing systems requirements, integrating sensors (EO/IR, Radar, RF Inhibitors, BMS, PIR's, Annunciators, Video Management systems, and Security Networks to include Cisco networks) integrating Command and Control software, defining products with control systems, and working Bid and Proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical field and minimum of five (5) years of Systems Engineering experience or nine (9) years of Systems related experience without degree
- Previous work with DOD program of record systems (preference towards US Army TSS or SSS programs or US Air force programs)
- Previous customer interface with Government Engineering and PMO groups Must be a U.S. citizen with or with the ability to obtain a government Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience providing labor and services necessary to perform program support in monitoring, assessing, coordinating, analyzing, and integrating component programs/activities, including briefings/presentations and agendas for the total life cycle of security programs/systems
- Competent with large-scale, distributed, federated system architectures, database technologies, virtualization methodologies, wired/wireless data communications, fiber optics, network, and cyber security
- Provide Integrated Ground Security Surveillance Response Capability (IGSSR-C) Command and Control (C2) software and hardware for its Operator Station
- Extensive experience with design, procurement, and installation of security systems for DOD facilities that include SCIFs, perimeter, prisons, and flight Lines
- Writing Systems Level Requirements, Systems Level Plans, and Analysis (System Plans, System Modeling, FMEA, Systems Safety, Requirements Traceability, etc.)
- Liaison with partners and subcontractors to verify specifications and interface requirements and to produce ICDs between multiple sub-systems.
- Familiarity with the following documents: UFCGS, UFC 4-021-02, DOD 8510.1, 8500.1, 8140.01, 8570.01-M, AF131-101, ICS 705-1, Army Directive 2014-05, Army Regulation (AR) 25-2, AR 190-13
- Proficient with Microsoft Office based tools
- Working knowledge of Air Force Electronic security systems doctrine
- Certifications with systems such as Advantor, Vindicator, VICADS, Lenel On Guard and Milestone
- Experience with Pursuits, Bids, Proposals, etc.
- Experience leading a multi-discipline team throughout the development life cycle
- Experience managing suppliers and writing Statement of Work (SOWs)
- Experience as a technical Focal into major OEM's and Military Customers
- Experience with System Level Test and Troubleshooting (In-house and in Field)
- Write/lead trade studies, use cases, white papers, etc.
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as SolidWorks
- Ability to write and deploy system processes
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work is typically performed in an office setting with occasional field work
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
- Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Some travel may be required for construction activities and site surveys.
