Overview: This position is responsible for performing various vascular and diagnostic ultrasound exams. A close working relationship with Radiology leadership, radiologists, Maternal Fetal Care (MFM) and the medical staff is required to maintain a cost effective and patient-focused service. This position is responsible to provide care for patients undergoing Ultrasound procedures using the approved workflows and procedural protocols. Technologists in this position are able to demonstrate full knowledge of ultrasound equipment. Talent Pool; Allied Health Responsibilities: Performs routine and special exams consistent with established protocols to minimize repeat examinations. Exam productivity is within established benchmark.
Consistently completes all exams and documentation in CHL and PACS. Consistently and accurately identifies all charges associated with studies. Addresses errors and resolves issues related to final product being sent to PACS.
Consistently demonstrates commitment to safe practices and supports Just Culture. Commitment to use Two for Two to accurately identify patients, follows procedures to avoid laterality errors, eliminate falls and ALARA. Completes all annual competencies by designated timeframe.
Exemplary model using AIDET, service excellence and service recovery.
Assists with patient transport as necessary.
Qualifications: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
Graduate of an accredited Radiology, Imaging or related educational program and/or accredited ultrasound program required. EXPERIENCE: 0-1, Healthcare - Ultrasound Technologist, Required
1_ years as a Healthcare Ultrasound Technologist to include abdominal and vascular preferred. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: REQUIRED
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) by CCI and Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist by ARDMS or Registered Ultrasound Technologist by ARRT RT(S).
