Feirich/Mager/Green/Ryan (FMGR) is a full service law firm located in Carbondale, Illinois. FMGR represents clients in legal matters in federal, state, and administrative courts primarily in the southern counties of Illinois and collar counties of St. Louis. FMGR is seeking entry level or lateral transfer attorneys (0-5 years) for full-time employment. All applicants should have high academic standing, excellent communication and writing skills, strong dedication to teamwork, enthusiasm for the practice of law, and a willingness and ability to work in transactional law and litigation. Duties
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Assist in drafting contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
- Review and analyze legal documents and contracts
- Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in Illinois
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Experience with legal drafting and document review
- Ability to litigate cases effectively in court
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, and providing legal advice. You will work closely with senior attorneys to assist with case preparation and client representation. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.
