Montgomery & Associates (M&A) is seeking a full-time Senior Hydrogeologist to join our Reno office. The current work in this office is primarily mining related.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Managing mining water resources projects
- Developing and interacting with clients, project stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
- Directing, training, and mentoring junior staff
- Preparing technical proposals, work plans, and reports
- Complying with health and safety regulations, including applicable government, M&A, and client-specific policies and procedures
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's degree in hydrology, geology, or engineering; graduate degree preferred
- Professional geology or engineering registration
- 10+ years of professional mining consulting experience; hard rock and lithium mining experience a plus
- Proven communication skills including technical writing and presenting technical information in meetings
- Professional experience conducting hydrogeologic investigations for mine permitting, mine dewatering, and surface water – groundwater interactions; developing hydrogeologic conceptual models and water budgets; groundwater well drilling, design, construction, and testing; analyzing pumping tests
- Interest in professional organizations, including presenting work at conferences
- Ability to develop and/or capitalize on business opportunities
- Understanding of federal and state regulations and permitting
- Ability to pass background check and drug test, if requested
- Ability to legally work and reside in the United States
