Easterseals Louisiana (ESL) is hiring a Part Time Residential Advisor for community-based housing facilities servicing the behavioral health community Our work is both serious and important and we are seeking committed applicants only. The rewards are in helping those who need it the most. Hours are Saturday and Sunday 8pm-8am.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Provide active treatment and community-based training,
- Provide formal and informal training in the facility
- Document progress and ensure daily documentation is completed
- Respond to client needs
- Communicate with staff and other providers
- Easterseals Louisiana is a Drug-Free Workplace, pre-employment and random drug tests will be administered.
- Will be required to pass Easterseals background check
- Those who do not choose to be vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination, will be required to follow agency protocols.
- Establish ongoing rapport with clients
- Prepare some meals and perform light housekeeping
- Attend training and staffing meetings
Job Requirements:
- Applicants must have at a minimum a high school diploma with significant empathy for clients served. This may be waived it the community trainer is working on his/her education and possesses substantial community awareness.
- Competencies for the job are good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. To be successful the employee must have a commitment to work, be action-oriented and assertive.
- Oral and written communication skills are required. You must be able to follow directives.
- Reliability is key in this position. RAs must be capable of meeting schedules and completing duties. We want applicants who have the power of commitment to this job and our residents.
